Fall Cinnamon Orange Potpourri

Cozy up your home with this easy-to-make cinnamon orange potpourri, perfect for filling your space with the warm scents of autumn.

Ingredients

Scale

Main ingredients

  • 2 Oranges (quartered, do not peel)
  • 6 Cinnamon Sticks (good quality)
  • 2 Tablespoons Whole Cloves
  • 2 Cups Water (more as needed)

Instructions

  1. Prep your fruit: Take your two oranges and simply quarter them. No need to be precise here, just cut them into manageable chunks.
  2. Load the slow cooker: Place the quartered oranges, those beautiful cinnamon sticks, and the whole cloves right into your slow cooker insert. It’s like creating a little aromatic party in there!
  3. Add water: Pour in 2 cups of water. This will help everything start to soften and release its fragrance.
  4. Let it simmer: Cover your slow cooker and set it to low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours. Keep an eye on the water level and add more as needed if it looks like it’s getting too low. You want it to stay nice and moist.

Notes

Can be reused for a day or two by storing in the fridge and adding more water. Discard solids in compost when potency is lost.
