Easy Strawberry Margarita

A simple and delicious strawberry margarita recipe perfect for summer relaxation, made with frozen strawberries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and honey. This recipe is fast, easy, and a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Margarita

  • 1 pound frozen whole strawberries (These are key for the perfect icy texture without watering down the flavor.)
  • 0.75 cup tequila (Opt for a decent quality blanco or silver tequila.)
  • 0.5 cup lime juice (Freshly squeezed is best.)
  • 0.25 cup orange liqueur (Cointreau, triple sec, or Grand Marnier work well.)
  • 0.33 cup honey or other sweetener (Agave nectar or simple syrup can also be used. Adjust to sweetness preference.)

For Garnish

  • margarita salt (For rimming glasses.)
  • limes (For garnish.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into margarita salt. Set aside.
  2. Load up the blender with frozen strawberries, tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and sweetener.
  3. Blend until smooth and slushy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared glasses.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel and serve.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and orange liqueur. You might want to add a little more lime juice or a splash of sparkling water. If you like it extra tangy, add a small splash of grapefruit juice.
