  • 1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
  • 3 tablespoons pumpkin purée (plain, not pie filling)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (plus 1 teaspoon if desired sweeter)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, pumpkin purée, honey, and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Stir to combine.
  2. Add the ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
  3. Using an electric mixer, beat everything on medium-high speed for 3 to 5 minutes, until light and fluffy. Taste and add the extra teaspoon of brown sugar if desired, then whip again briefly.
  4. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to soften.
